Confused by the book of Revelation and end-times prophecy? In this focused 15-minute episode, Steve Wood breaks down the three major views of the Millennium in Revelation 20—giving you a clear, biblical framework for understanding prophetic Scripture without getting lost in speculation.
If you can grasp just three foundational truths, you can understand the basics of biblical prophecy:
- The length of the Millennium (Episode 516)
- The Two Resurrections (Episode 517)
- The Three Views of the Millennium (Episode 518)
In this episode, Steve explains why many modern prophecy teachers have failed to seriously examine all three millennial views, often assuming the premillennial position without fully engaging Scripture or Church history. You’ll also learn why early Christians struggled to understand the Messianic Kingdom and how even the apostles initially viewed the Kingdom through a Jewish expectation—an issue clarified as the Church came to recognize Christ as King of the whole world.
Special attention is given to the “Realized” or Present-Day Millennium, commonly (and misleadingly) called Amillennialism. Rather than denying the Millennium, this view understands the 1,000 years of Revelation 20 as the current reign of Christ from heaven, synonymous with the Kingdom of God proclaimed by Jesus and the apostles.
You’ll also see why many fail to perceive the Messianic Kingdom, drawing from Jesus’ own explanation in Matthew 13, and why this present-day millennial view has historically been held by the Catholic Church, the Orthodox Church, and most Protestants until the early 20th century, including Reformers like Calvin and Luther.
