Steve Wood began his study of theology at an Assemblies of God college in California and started teaching Scripture at the Calvary Chapel Bible School soon after graduation. He later graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Steve served as an Evangelical youth pastor and then as a Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) pastor for a decade before his entire family converted to Catholicism in 1990.

Responding to a challenge from Pope John Paul II to strengthen families, he founded the Family Life Center International in 1992. Steve is the long-time host of Faith and Family Radio, a weekly radio program and podcast, and is the author of several books on family life, faith, and fatherhood. In 2007, Pope Benedict XVI honored Steve with an award for distinguished service to the church.

Steve has studied biblical prophecy for five decades. During his years as an Evangelical teacher and pastor, he made a long pilgrimage through all the major schools of prophecy before finally adopting St. Augustine’s views. Therefore, he knows each of the significant interpretations of biblical prophecy from an insider’s viewpoint.

As seen in Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis’ approach to fellow Christians is how Steve hopes to build bridges of respect between Evangelicals, Orthodox, and Catholics using the Bible and the teaching of Christian leaders who came long before us.

Steve and his wife Karen have been married for 45 years and are the parents of eight children and the grandparents of twenty-one grandchildren.

“We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has gone through. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-Church. We must be prepared to undergo great trials in the not-too-distant future.”

Cardinal Karol Wojtyla (St. John Paul II)
